Florida Elder Law Attorney Online, Virtual Consultations Statewide

Elder Needs Law, PLLC

Not every family lives near one of our offices. A parent may be in a memory care facility in Gainesville. An adult child coordinating care may be calling from Jacksonville, Pensacola, or Tallahassee. A couple planning ahead may be in Sarasota, Naples, or the Florida Keys. Elder Needs Law serves all of them. As a Florida elder law attorney available online, we conduct consultations and handle complete matters by phone, Zoom, FaceTime, or any video platform that is comfortable for you, with no loss of quality or personal attention.

Florida law permits attorneys licensed in the state to represent clients located anywhere in Florida. There is no requirement to meet in person for most elder law and Medicaid planning matters. Documents can be reviewed, discussed, and finalized remotely. For matters requiring notarization or wet signatures, we coordinate with local resources so you never need to travel unless you choose to.

Virtual Elder Law Consultations Work

Many families are surprised to learn that virtually everything involved in Medicaid planning, estate planning, and probate can be handled remotely. The process does not require you to sit across a desk from an attorney. What it requires is clear communication, careful review of your documents and financial information, and strategic legal advice. All of that works just as effectively over video or phone.

Elder Needs Law has been conducting remote consultations since well before virtual meetings became standard practice. Our team is well-versed in the logistics of serving Florida clients at a distance and has developed a process that makes the experience straightforward for seniors and family members who may not be comfortable with technology.

For families coordinating care from out of state, or for seniors who live far from any of our physical offices, a virtual elder law consultation is not a compromise. It is often the most convenient and efficient way to get qualified legal help.

How the Virtual Consultation Process Works

Our virtual process is designed to be simple and accessible for all clients, including those who are less comfortable with technology. Here is what to expect from your first contact through completion of your matter.

1

Schedule your appointment

Call us or submit a request through our website. We will confirm your appointment by phone or email and ask a few brief questions about your situation so we can prepare.

2

Receive your confirmation

You will receive a calendar invitation with a Zoom link, a call-in number, or instructions for whichever platform you prefer. No account or download is required for most options.

3

Gather your documents

Before the meeting, we will let you know what to have ready. Typically this includes a list of assets, any existing estate planning documents, and details about the care situation if one is in progress.

4

Attend your consultation

Join by video or phone at your scheduled time. The consultation is a working meeting. We will review your situation, explain your options in plain language, and outline next steps.

5

Receive your written summary

After the consultation, we will follow up with a written summary of what we discussed and the agreed next steps. If you move forward, we will send an engagement agreement electronically for your review and signature.

6

Complete your matter remotely

Documents are drafted, shared securely, reviewed with you by video or phone, and finalized. For items requiring notarization, we coordinate with mobile notaries or use Florida remote online notarization (RON).
